What makes your translations different from machine translation?

We use native Japanese speakers who understand cultural context and nuance. Machine translations often miss idioms, honorifics, and tone that are crucial for Japanese audiences.
How do you count words for pricing?

We count the source English words. Japanese text is typically shorter, so you're only paying for what you send us, not the translated output.
Can you handle technical or specialized content?

Yes. We work with developers, SaaS products, and technical documentation regularly. We understand programming terms, UI patterns, and developer tools.

What file formats do you accept?

Do you offer rush delivery?

What if I need revisions after delivery?

We strive for high quality, but please note that we do not offer free revision rounds unless there are clear factual errors. We provide localization on an "as-is" basis to keep our prices affordable for indie developers.

Service Scope: Plainworks provides manual Japanese localization on an "as-is" basis. Turnaround times are estimates.

No Warranty: While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that the localization will be error-free or meet your specific expectations.

Limitation of Liability: Plainworks shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our localized content. Use at your own risk.

Refunds: Due to the nature of digital services, refunds are not available once the localization work has begun.
